Glock 17
Glock's full-size, and the original everything else was derived from. Two centimeters longer than the 19 and two more rounds — a difference that sounds small and is clearly felt both when shooting and on the belt. A pistol for the range, for security work and for open carry, not for concealment.
What's good about it
- Longer sight radius — easier to hit with, especially for beginners
- 17 rounds standard
- Recoil spreads over a larger frame and feels softer than the 19
What's less good
- Hard to conceal under a shirt the way people dress in Israel
- Mediocre factory trigger, like the whole line
- Heavier for everyday carry
Common user reviews
The remarks that come up most often among owners in Israel and abroad, good and bad. These are user opinions, not our test.
Common praise
- Most common praise: the easiest Glock of all to shoot well
- Absolute reliability. A pistol you leave in the safe for a year and it comes out shooting
- 17-round magazines are available and cheap
Common complaints
- Most common complaint: too big for real everyday carry
- Prints under a shirt when you bend over
- The sights it ships with are considered a part you replace immediately
Generations and versions
Which optics fit it
The Glock 17 ships with adapter plates, so it accepts a wide range of footprints: RMR, RMSc and Docter. 24 of the optics sold in Israel fit it.
You choose a pistol by hand, not by table
Have a licence? Professional training with us gives you control and confidence with any gun you choose. No licence yet? An experience shoot with a dedicated instructor: no licence, no commitment.
You can also just shoot them
No spec sheet replaces how the pistol sits in your hand. If you're torn between two or three, book a range session, shoot them, and decide after — not before.
